Wow price out the gears and a good master instal kit with the bearings and seals and see what that comes out to. Also keep in mind the ifs may be an issue in trying to do them yourself. I have never done an ifs.

thier is several guy's that could help you with regearing here but getting them when thier not tearing up there own stuff. good luck. 4wheel parts is another source for gears. front and rear ring &pinions sets and master install kits.if you go to 4.56 you might have to buy front and rear differentials to match gear sets.ask lots of questions4wheelparts.com or 573-6200 is the # ask for will, keith, cris they all know what you'll need.

you think that the case will break even if i dont wheel it , what would be the safest and best way to run 33s than?

You can run 33's but if you get rough you will break stuff. You could pull the front drive shaft out and just re-gear the rear until you get ready for a wagoneer front.

a case "break" is when the carrier you have wont except the ring and pinion set. in a ford dana 35 the case breaks are 3.45 and down.......and 3.73 and up. so if i had a 3.45 gears in the truck and wanted to swap in 4.56 i would have to get the ring and pinion and a 3.73 and up carrier to bolt the new ring gear to

as long as that is what his axles carrier break ratio is........3.73 is the break for the axle i was talking about. he would need to research and find out what the break point for his axle is. they are not all the same
