I will be attempting to four link my suzuki samurai. I've got the ability but I could use some advice, insight, and sugestions from a few people that have built suspensions like this before. Advice like what to do and what not to do. Tips on keeping the cost down and material suggestion. Input will be greatly appreciated.

well, if you're staying light you can use 3/4 rod ends everywhere.

And the questions
what axles?
what motor?
what size tires?
what style of steering?
what do you want to do with it?

Stock engine and axles. 31 or 32 inch tires. Not sure about the steering. I plan on using it as just and off road toy trail riding and what ever you would incounter here in florida. I'm just not satisfied with the leaf springs. I figure if I'm going to redo the suspension I might as well go ahead and try 4 link it. I have even thought about finding a set of small tractor tires for it. If I need to upgrade to a larger axle I would consider it. This is really going to be a project vehicle for me and a friend to experiment with.

Well then use the 3/4 ends but leave room for bigger joints. Space the tabs apart 2 5/8" to allow for anything.

Do you want 26X12X12 or 31X15X15?

31 would be nice, but I would like to stay around 10.5 inches wide. Or maybe even something a little narrower to fit the stock rims. I know the stock axles are weak but I would like to keep them although I would go bigger if I have to. I've seen pictures and read where other people are using tires like I've described, not sure how hard they would be to find. I even thought about a set of ITP silverbacks 31 x10.5 6 ply atv tire they look bad axx I just wonder if they would support the vehicle weight.

I have 2 29" tall v-treads for 15 inch rims but they are kind of skinny.

considering the lighter weights that you are staying with in your axles , tires and rig, you should be able to use 1.5" .120 wall for your links and 3/4 or 1" rod ends. They will let you save alot of weight but you wont be able to upgrade to larger axles later if you want to without rebuilding your links.
