I would close the area below the gusset in. The tube idea sounds good, try to flare the ends, maybe a hydro press and a tapered ream or something similar?

Well I tried flaring the ends and had no luck. So I took my dye grinder with a 120grit flap and just made it super smooth.

and my shocks that I aquired for free. Well, traded a little bit of welding for them but well worth it. Also my BTF limit straps for the front that came in the other day.

Flaring the ends would have been nice but what you have there will work well.

Not sure man. I just found that thing laying in one of the scrapyards here, asked how much and he said $5 so I grabbed it months ago.

just a question. why did you weld that hub on there? I would have probably bolted it so I could take it off, cause you never know what will come next on these things. You gonna ride out and see the SETTC this year?

Will your passenger seat also get the seatbelt bar or are you leaving them with the stock three point?

the 1tons are final. I originall planned to bolt the hub on but the hardware store was out of the size I needed. So instead of waiting I just welded it on
As far as SETTC, I just checked dates and no I cant make it. It would throw my leave off, I've already put leave in for june19-july6. Meeting up with a buddy from New Mexico in Clayton, Oklahoma for a week of wheeling, then heading back down here to Polk, dropping buggy off, and going to florida to visit my family and wifes family.

Yes I'm putting the harness in the other side. Just trying to find matching belts in pink, or pink pads for my wife. :brownbag:
