I know its somewhat cruel to do... Putting a Ford carb on a GM engine.

I have a Dual-jet 210 I am rebuilding to put back on a 3.8L Buick (86 Regal, non-turbo). After looking at the base plate size, I'm wondering why I can't put on a MC2100/2150. I just happen to have one sitting in a box in the back of my workshop. No emissions or electric mixture control.
